RFPB Fellows Society Members,
The second annual meeting of the RFPB Fellows Society was held on 5 September at the Army Navy Country Club in conjunction with a regularly scheduled RFPB meeting. We had 21 Fellows members attend the business meeting and several additional members present for the 4 September evening dinner and RFPB open session. Secretary/Treasurer, CWO4 George Rubesha, USCGR (ret), reported that we currently have 66 paid members, up from 43 one year ago. He also presented a financial report and FY14 budget, a copy of which is attached. Based on the FY14 budget, the Board has set the annual renewal dues at $20.00. All existing members are requested to submit their dues payment in the amount of $20.00 to:

3800 Fairfax Drive, Apt 1809
Arlington, VA 22203
Several initiatives to increase membership in the Fellows Society were suggested and should be implemented very soon. It was requested that each member review the current membership roster (see home page, www.rfpbfellowssociety.org ) and help to identify/contact any eligible individual and encourage that person to join/support the Fellows Society. Discussion was held on the subjects of subcommittee/task group participation and support of current RFPB recommendations. More detailed information with "calls to action" will be distributed to all members in the near future. Finally, our Webmaster, George Rubesha (and jack of all trades), NEEDS HELP! If you are willing to volunteer to assist in maintaining and developing the web site, please contact George via email (email@example.com ). The evening before the annual business meeting, a gala dinner was held in the 5 Star Ballroom of the new clubhouse at the Army Navy Country Club. Nearly 200 attendees were treated to a great dinner, entertainment by The Airmen of Note (US Air Force jazz ensemble) and a keynote speech by Admiral Sandy Winnefeld, Jr., Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. During this event the Fellows Society presented the Citizen Patriot Awards. Recipient of the Individual Award was General George Joulwan, USA (ret), former Supreme Allied Commander Europe. The Unit Award was presented to the 100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry Regiment, USAR. The unit commander, LTC Dan Austin was accompanied by his top NCO, CSM Beau Tatsumura. A special thanks to our Awards Committee, Paul Bergson, Meliva Hartman, and Dan Helix, and co-chairs Bobby Green and George Rubesha. Your officers and Board were elected in 2012 to serve 2 year terms expiring at the end of FY14 (30 Sept 2014). We want to continue to serve you by keeping you informed and involved. Please let us know your comments/suggestions.
